Duck NC is located on the North Carolina Outer Banks just above Southern Shores and was named because of if haven for duck and water fowl. The town , is quiet with 7 miles of beautiful beaches. Duck NC tourism has grown greatly in the last decade. Aside from the wide uncrowded beaches, vacation activities include miles of bike path and a short walk to village center with shops, restaurants, a soundfront park and activities.

Water sports in Duck NC are very popular and swimming, surfing, sea kayaking, are a great way to spend the day. The back side of Duck is bordered by the Currituck Sound. Several Duck NC recreational outfitters rent the gear you need for fishing, sailing, canoe and kayaking, parasailing, and Jet Ski rental. All the stores here are locally owned and operated and each shop is unique.

Duck NC also has some great restaurants, including some of the top food and wine destinations on the Outer Banks. You can enjoy a romantic dinner, eat al fresco while listening to jazz, catch sports on a bar TV, grab a slice of pizza, or the most popular, a seafood dinner.

Duck NC is defiantly on the top of the list for a NC Outer Banks beach vacation getaway.
